Joan T. Mela

1952 – 2026

   Joan T. Mela (nee Kealey), age 73, of Springfield, died peacefully February 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents the late Michael and Margaret (nee Doherty) Kealey, sister Roseen, and grandchild Cortland. She is survived by her loving husband Joseph Mela, children Joseph Mela IV, Marykate (Thomas) Mela-Wells; siblings Michael Kealey, Christopher Kealey, Patrick Kealey, Mark Kealey and Sally Vinc. Also survived by her six grandchildren.

     She was born in Northern Ireland and moved to the US in 1957. She became a proud citizen in 1980 and was loved by all who knew her. She was always close to God and hope she finds peace in him now.

         Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday, February 5, 2026 beginning at 7pm to 10pm at Ruffenach Funeral Home, 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA, 19026. Her funeral service will start at 9pm.
